Adrian Hedley regularly runs workshops for students of all ages, both professional and non-professional alike.

He teaches drama, physical theatre skills (mime, masks & comedy), improvisation, creative devising-writing techniques and television acting and presenting.

He has taught at RADA, Webber-Douglas, Central School of Speech and Drama, Drama Studio, Mountview, ALRA, The Actor’s Institute, British Theatre Association, Interchange WAC, Jackson’s Lane, and run workshops for Youth Theatres, Colleges and Schools throughout the UK, for the Arts Council, Regional Arts Associations & Local Educational Authorities.

His approach is to inspire students, whatever their age and experience, to release and realise their natural creativity and potential to the full.

At Webber-Douglas he set up and directed a TV production course, in conjunction with Channel 4, for the cult youth series CLUB X.

At Drama Studio he devised and directed a TV production course, in which students were taken “hands-on” through the complete production process, from scripting to performance, from shooting to the edit.

He was Drama & Impro teacher at INTERCHANGE,LONDON, for several years, and established and directed their Summer School Courses in London and Newcastle.

He set up a series of drama workshops at Harlesden Primary School, London, leading to the production of a film, HANDS OFF, which has been shown several times on Channel 4.

He ran a series of drama workshops in schools throughout London for ITV’s BAFTA nominated series, THE INVESTIGATORS.

COURSE TITLE: INSTANT PHYSICAL THEATRE  – Movement, mime, masks & comedy.

Free up your own natural physical talents in an informal workshop in movement, improvisation and comedy. Adrian Hedley will be teaching exercises and techniques to develop your physical potential. The morning session will give you the opportunity to learn new techniques and skills to help develop your physical faculties. The afternoon session will give you the chance to explore and hone your newly acquired physical skills in drama-based exercises and instant physical theatre games.

Children’s TV is still one of the major entry points into the television industry, and one of the principal employers of new undiscovered presenting talent.

Adrian Hedley is a leading expert in Children’s Television, and having worked both sides of camera as Presenter and Director, brings a unique insight to his teaching.

Over the past 20 years he has directed and mentored a distinguished a list of Children’s TV presenters including Justin Fletcher, Chris Jarvis, Sarah Jane Honeywell, Katy Ashworth, Timmy Mallet, Mark Speight, Neil Buchanan and Sid Sloane among others.

He has taught television presenting and production courses to students of all ages and experience, at colleges and drama schools, including RADA, CENTRAL SCHOOL OF SPEECH AND DRAMA, DRAMA STUDIO, ARTS EDUCATIONAL, WEBBER-DOUGLAS, MOUNTVIEW and ALRA.
